Hoyt played on Sunbury's first football team in 1926 and was a big supporter of all local sports teams.
 

Margaret Garee worked most of her adult life for Whitney Insurance. She signed this 1954 receipt.

A 1956 receipt for paid insurance  initialed by Laura Crawford Whitney, Hoyt's wife who worked in the family business.  Hoyt later became postmaster and sold the insurance company to Bob Morris.  Hoyt retired in 1972 and died shortly after his retirement.
