Sunbury Saddle and Halter 4-H Mark Graves

Tom Paul as General Rosecrans talks to 4-H Club

Members of the Saddles and Halter 4-H club found graves of Veterans of the Civil War in Stark, East Liberty and Mt. Pleasant Cemeteries on Veteran's Day 2010.
Information about the Veterans is posted on Civil War Soldiers of Eastern Delaware County
At each grave a 4-H member read information about the soldier researched by Suzanne Allen, and placed a flag holder and flag at the grave.  The holders were provided by American Legion and Delaware County Veteran's Services.
Parents of the members and the General Rosecrans Department of the Ohio Headquarters Unit, and the Big Walnut Area Historical Society and Lenny Lepalo provided  assistance.

Club members have already done Berkshire, Galena, and Blue Church cemeteries.  Others did Trenton and Harlem Township cemeteries.  The BWAHS goal is to get all veteran's graves marked in the Cemeteries in eastern Delaware County.  Soldiers of the American Revolution have already been completed.
