Program 7:30 Tuesday Evening, November 11 "Squanto: the True Story of the Native American Behind the First Thanksgiving" On Tuesday evening, November 11, Mr. Van Young will present a program on Squanto, a Native American of the Patuxet tribe who helped the Pilgrims at Plymouth Colony survive their first few years. Van Young is a regular presenter at the Myers Inn Museum and his programs are always informative and excellent. ...more infoLike all BWAHS monthly programs, admission is free and open to the public. Myers Inn Museum is located at the intersection of Columbus and Granville Street across from Sunbury Square. It is open for tours 10-3 on Saturdays and 12-4 on Sundays NOTE: The Brad Orndorf program about Native American Tools had to be canceled at the last minute when a large group used Sunbury Square for the Charlie Kirk memorial service, which took all the parking in the surrounding area. We were not alerted to the event until 5:30, which did not leave us any way to let you know. Our programs are scheduled months in advance so we have rescheduled the Native American Tools program for March. We will skip December for Christmas on the Square, skip January for cold weather, and another program is already scheduled for February. Please forgive the confusion. |
